Lisa-Ann Wuermser, M.D., Joins Courage Center Physicians' Clinic
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Courage Center is pleased to announce that Lisa-Ann Wuermser, M.D., has joined the organization's Physicians' Associates staff. She is part of the healthcare team treating people with disabilities and complex medical conditions.

"We are very happy to welcome Dr. Wuermser," said Nancy Larkin, chief operating officer. "She brings a wealth of experience and skills that will enhance patient care, including Board Certification in Spinal Cord Injury, Bone Density and Spasticity Management."
Wuermser specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has done extensive research in osteoporosis after paralysis, and has been part of a team developing physical medicine and rehabilitation and spinal cord injury treatment in Honduras and Vietnam for the past decade.
Most recently, Wuermser practiced at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. She also served as medical director for acute SCI patients at the Rehab Institute of Chicago. A Texas native, Wuermser graduated from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Now living in Minneapolis, in her spare time Dr. Wuermser is a competitive ballroom dancer.
