Hart InterCivic Voting System Replaces ES&S in Gibson County, Ind.

AUSTIN, Texas - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Hart InterCivic, a leading national provider of election voting systems, management products and services, announced today it will supply Gibson County, Indiana, with the Hart Voting System, replacing election systems and software. Gibson County becomes the fourth Indiana county in the past year to replace ES&S with an Indiana tailored solution combining the Hart Voting System and support and service from Harp Enterprises. Gibson joins Harrison, Ohio, and Washington counties in the recent switch. Cass County, Ind., was the first Hart Voting System implementation in the state.

Gibson County Clerk Becky Woodburn consulted with Harp customers to learn more about Hart InterCivic and the voting system. "Everyone we talked with had rave reviews about their voting systems and over-the-top customer support," said Woodburn. "We looked at Hart's voting system and found the machines very simple to operate. So far, we have been very pleased."

Gibson County will vote using the highly regarded eScan. Accurate, secure and easy to operate, the eScan uses advanced digital technology. Recorded ballots drop automatically into a locked ballot box incorporated into the eScan to create a secure, verifiable paper record of the votes cast. Introduced in 2005 as the first digital ballot imaging voting terminal, eScan has a proven track record.

"Hart's reputation as a proven supplier of voting systems made the decision to switch vendors an easy one," said Woodburn. "The company has people with integrity and partners like Harp who can provide the type of personalized service we want."

Hart InterCivic is a highly responsive, reliable partner in meeting today's complex electoral challenges, delivering the products, services and nonstop support that pave the way for consistent, successful election results.

"We couldn't be happier adding another Indiana county to our family of customers," said Hart InterCivic President Phillip Braithwaite.
