To help educate customers about their cars, rather than take advantage of their lack of car know-how, some service centers are offering seminars on car maintenance. At the ACDelco Knowledge is Power seminar, drivers can ask questions about the do's and don'ts of servicing newer cars like when to rotate your tires and how to know if it's time to replace your brakes. It's also a way to get basic instruction and some hands on experience.

To leave participants feeling less vulnerable, they also receive gift bags with service interval schedules, tire gauges, quick reference brochures like "Around the Car" and "Under the Hood" and an easy to understand Knowledge is Power booklet.
