Hockey Fan Banned For Attacking "Pucky The Whale" Mascot
By Robert Paul Reyes
"Police said a man attending a Connecticut Whalers game was banned from the team's arena for allegedly attacking the team's mascot, 'Pucky the Whale.'
Hartford police said Kevin O'Connell, 28, has been banned from future events at XL Stadium after he allegedly tackled and punched the mascot, The Hartford Courant reported Tuesday." UPIAttacking a mascot is a dastardly crime that must not go unpunished. It's one thing for a sports fan to attack a fool supporting the opposing team, but how can a rational human being pummel a mascot named "Pucky the Whale?"
A mascot can hardly see and it's difficult for him to move wearing his bulky costume, he is at the mercy of a hooligan who decides to beat him up for no apparent reason.
Imagine the horror of the impressionable and innocent children who witnessed the spectacle of Pucky getting beat to within an inch of his life!
There is a hot place reserved in hell for monsters who abuse mascots!
