Aetna Helps Employees Make Super Bowl Snacks Healthier with New Health eCooking Videos
HARTFORD, Conn. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Super bowl Sunday is a day full of football entertainment, great
commercials and lots of food. In an effort to help their employees eat
healthier during the big game, Aetna (NYSE: AET) recently began
providing employees with access to a wide range of healthy recipe videos.
Dozens of Health eCooking videos are now available for all
Aetna employees through Aetna's Virtual Wellness Center, a 24/7 website
that offers fitness and nutrition support for employees. Registered
dietitians, wellness consultants and chefs are featured in fun,
interactive web videos. Heart-healthy, gluten-free and diabetic cooking
recipes are available to help employees who have special dietary needs.
"The addition of the Health eCooking videos is the latest example of how
we are helping our employees and their families live healthier
lifestyles," said Elease Wright, senior vice president of Human
Resources. "Health eCooking videos provide nutritious recipe options
with a one on one cooking experience, making it easy to try new recipes
and find ways to cook healthier."
The short videos feature easy-to-follow instructions and "How to Cook"
tips that inspire home cooks to try healthier recipes. From cheese steak
sandwiches to gooey chocolate chip cookies, professional chefs
demonstrate how to make America's favorite foods using less salt, no
butter and less saturated fats.
Health eCooking videos are produced by Baldwin Publishing, the leading
provider of cooking videos for websites. Health eCooking delivers a
powerful combination of credible health content and entertaining cooking
videos that make websites interactive and more fun.
"Cooking healthy is easy when you watch a video that shows you how to
cook," said Baldwin Publishing Producer, Toni Donina. "Health eCooking
episodes are entertaining like television cooking shows, but the recipes
are healthy and easy to make at home."
