BankAtlantic to Sponsor 4th Annual I Care I Cure...I Run 5K and Family Fun Day

The 4th Annual I Care I Cure...I Run 5k & Family Fun Day will be held at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on Sunday, February 13, 2011. The event is open to adults and children alike, and supports I Care I Cure Childhood Cancer Foundation's mission of raising awareness and funds for cutting-edge, targeted therapies for childhood cancer, so the treatment of childhood cancer will be gentler and more tolerable.

Following the race, there will be an expanded Family Fun Day with activities for kids, food and lots of fun!

"This will be BankAtlantic's second annual sponsorship of this worthwhile event. We are very pleased to help support the I Care I Cure Childhood Cancer Foundation in their efforts to raise awareness and funding for critical research that improves the lives of thousands of children diagnosed with cancer each year," commented Jarett Levan, CEO of BankAtlantic.

Beth Besner of Davie, who along with her husband Brad, co-founded I Care I Cure Childhood Cancer Foundation after their 11-year-old son, Ian, died from complications related to treatments for leukemia stated: "It means so much to us to have the support of the community at this event to help us honor Ian and raise funds to find gentler cures for childhood cancer."
