ICA Attains Certification at Annual Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) 12th America Connectathon
NASHVILLE - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Informatics
Corporation of America (ICA), a leading provider of
comprehensive Health Information Exchange (HIE) solutions to hospitals,
integrated delivery networks (IDNs), communities and states, today
announced that it successfully completed and passed the 12th
Annual Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) North
American Connectathon, January 17-21, 2011, Chicago, IL.
ICA completed and passed 33 tests designed to foster compliance
with standards, electronic health record system connectivity and the
interoperable exchange of patient health records. These
tests were conducted with 18 partners, including Allscripts,
AthenaHealth, EMC, Fuji, Lawson, MEDecision, Philips, Picis among others.
Tim Dunnington, Director of Interoperability at ICA, said, "ICA's

Connectathon. The CareAlign interoperability product
proved incredibly reliable and is well-positioned to attain XDS
interoperability in IHE compliant environments. Overcoming
obstacles to the sharing and exchange of patient data will be key to

implemented all Registry requirements keeping track of patients, and the
availability of their documents, including the Registry functions less
frequently used by vendors and hospital systems."
Among the major functions tested included EMRs, EHRs and other
infrastructure vendors and radiology vendors, as well as vendors that do
image management and other functions in HIE, including ICA's direct
competitors.

services at the Annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems
Society (HIMSS11) Interoperability Showcase (booth #2837), February
21-24, 2011, in Orlando, FL.
