KidsCo identifies Poland as key territory
Children’s channel to renew contract with number one cable operator
London, UK, 02 February 2011 - KidsCo, the international children’s channel, is today announcing the renewal of its contract with TOYA, one of Poland’s largest TV operators with over 160,000 subscribers.
KidsCo will continue to broadcast its range of family friendly programming including; Sonic Underground, The Beach Crew, The Future is Wild, as well as KidsCo original programming Boo & Me and Jass Time! with a view to adding Boo & Me 2, in April.
Paul Robinson, CEO at KidsCo, said: “Poland is becoming of greater importance as the market matures, not only for KidsCo, but the broadcasting industry in general. As an advocate of localisation of content and infrastructure, TOYA was a natural partner choice. Following the successful launch of free VoD with Toya, we are thrilled to continue co-operation. As we expand, we can look forward to developing relationships with other platforms in Poland.”
Jacek Kobierzycki, CEO at TOYA added: “We are thrilled to be renewing our contract with KidsCo as it is a very popular channel amongst children here in Poland. Parents have fed back that the high quality and absence of violence motivated them to turn to KidsCo instead of other children’s channels. KidsCo’s commitment to family friendly edutainment is a primary reason we are continuing to co-operate with KidsCo, and we look forward to expanding our relationship onto new digital platforms.”
