The Original Miami Beach Antique Show to Celebrate 50th Anniversary This Week
MIAMI - (BUSINESS WIRE) - US
Antique Shows, a major producer of antique shows in North America,
announced that The
2011 Original Miami Beach Antique Show, will kick off its 50th
Anniversary celebrations this Thursday, February 3rd
at 11:00 a.m at the Miami Beach Convention
Center. Local Miami Beach officials, including Miami Beach city mayor
Mattie Bower, will be on hand at the opening ceremony, alongside US
Antique Shows' event organizers to share a few words prior to a
celebratory champagne toast. The show, which will run from February 3 -
7, 2011, will be celebrating 50 successful years, making it one of the
longest running shows in Miami. Show hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m. from February 3-6th and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on
February 7th at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Admission
cost is only $15 to attend all five days of the show.
"The Original Miami Beach Antique Show has been a treat for residents
and visitors alike for 50 years," said Miami Beach Mayor, Matti Bower.
"The quality of the exhibitors and participants makes this show welcome
to our city year after year - and hopefully for another 50!"
Some of the highlights of the show include:

It's the largest indoor antique show in the
world.

It features more than 800 dealers from all over the world that come
from more than 22 antique rich countries.

There are some very unique and rich antique pieces, some of which are
museum quality, and have been previously owned by royalty. Antique
collectors and buyers will be delighted with 17, 18 & 19th
century paintings and furniture, as well as some statues by Auguste
Rodin, Emile Gaugin, Japanese Satsuma Kinkozan, amongst many other
rare and quality pieces.

100 pearl necklaces will be given to the first
100 attendees to come through the doors on Opening Day.

An additional 39 pearl necklaces will be given
away every hour during the 5 days of the show.

There will also be a free appraisal day on
Saturday, February 5th where the public will be able to bring
one antique piece and/or jewelry item to be appraised for free by
experts.
