Madison Media Institute Celebrates First Graduating Class of Entertainment & Media Business Program

MADISON, Wis. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Madison Media Institute will be hosting their winter graduation ceremony at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison WI, on Saturday, February 5th, 2011. Graduates will be recognized during the commencement that begins at 2:00 p.m. Students will receive their Associate of Applied Science degrees in the following disciplines: Digital Media Design & Production, Recording & Music Technology, Video & Motion Graphics, and Media Systems Technology. Students in the Entertainment & Media Business program will receive their Bachelor of Science degree.

Family and friends of the graduates are also invited to a Graduation Reception at MMI on Friday, February 4th from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM. Students will be showcasing the projects they've worked on, family and friends will have a chance to tour the campus and meet MMI Instructors and Staff.

This graduating class of students includes the first group of Entertainment & Media Business graduates, who have earned their Bachelor of Science degree. Students in the program have completed 61 upper-division semester credits in four semesters. Courses include those in core business areas such as finance, accounting, and marketing; along with entertainment or media specific areas such as artist management and media promotion. Students have also completed 24 semester credit hours in general education.

The department chairperson, Richard Denhart, has informed me that all of the grads are actively involved in jobs or entrepreneurial ventures in the entertainment and media field.
