ECG Management Consultants, Inc. Announces the Commencement of the 2011 Southeast "Provider Compensation, Production, and Benefits Survey"

ECG Management Consultants, Inc., one of the nation's premier healthcare management consulting firms, today announced the commencement of the Southeast "Provider Compensation, Production, and Benefits Survey," year 2011 based on 2010 data. The survey will target physicians and midlevel providers practicing in the Southeastern states of Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.

As reliable regional benchmarks with sufficient sample size are difficult to attain, ECG's Southeast survey provides an in-depth review of physician and midlevel provider performance market trends, including provider compensation, production, benefit packages, recruiting efforts and signing bonuses by specialty, malpractice premiums by specialty, compensation plan design and metrics, and numerous other key data points. The survey comprises critical data such as physician and midlevel provider compensation-to-production ratios, including work and total relative value units (RVUs) (calculated by ECG from provider-level CPT code data). In 2010, the inaugural year of the survey, compensation and production benchmarks were published for 27 specialties, including providers in primary care and medical, surgical, and hospital-based specialties.

ECG conducts a series of specialty-specific compensation and production surveys, including studies in the Northwest and Midwest, as well as the "National Pediatric Subspecialty Physician Compensation, Production, and Benefits Survey." In addition, ECG performs many other research studies in partnership with organizations such as the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) and Thomson Reuters. ECG enjoys the long-term support of many respected provider organizations across our survey products.

Electronic survey instruments are being distributed in February, with submissions accepted through March. Preliminary data will be available in July; however, only those organizations actively participating will have access to the data and reports.
