February 4 Puppy "Tail" Gate Party Includes Costume Contest

By

For those who doggedly support the Pittsburgh Steelers, the same people who brought us the popular "Easter Kong" party, are hosting a "tail" gate party this February 4 (2011) at the Blais Veterinary Hospital in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Those with real tails are invited to bring along their humans for an afternoon of pre-game games and food.

Running from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the Friday before Super Bowl Sunday, leaving plenty of time to get home to see the game even in the worst weather, the Puppy Bowl has games and prizes geared to the doggie set.

Puppies are encouraged to wear gold to support the Steelers.

Along with Dr. Blais' practice, animal care specialists around the country are supporting Animal Planet's VII Puppy Bowl this year.

"The Puppy Bowl tailgate party is an opportunity to educate pet owners about how their pet can live a longer and healthier life," according to Dr. Blais.

Snacks will be provided for owners. Pets of all sizes and shapes are invited to enter the pet costume contest. (Since Indiana is located in Western Pennsylvania, it might be a good idea to show support for the Pittsburgh team - some fans can be real animals!)
