Fiesta Parade Floats and Its Clients Take Home Eight Rose Parade Trophies, Including an 18th Consecutive Sweepstakes Trophy for Its Dole Foods Float Entry

Among the Fiesta-built floats receiving awards today were the Dole Foods float entry, "Living Well in Paradise" which was awarded the 2011 Sweepstakes Trophy, the Parade's top prize, given to the parade's most beautiful float entry. The 2011 award marks the 18^th straight year that Fiesta Parade Floats has built the Parade's Sweepstakes Trophy winning float entry.

In addition to the 2011 Sweepstakes Trophy, seven other Fiesta-built floats received awards, including:

• Discover Financial Services: "A State Fair to Remember" - Grand Marshal's Trophy for excellence in creative concept and design
• Kaiser Permanente: "Purrfectly Healthy" - Directors' Trophy for outstanding artistic merit in design and floral presentation
• Cunard Line: "A Grand Celebration at Sea" - Queen's Trophy for best use of roses
• City of Beverly Hills: "City of Dreams Come True" - Mayor's Trophy for most outstanding city entry
• The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation: "Ronald Reagan: Inspired Freedom, Changed the World" - National Trophy for best depiction of life in the United States, past present or future
• Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Pet Foods: "Friends Havin' a Splash" - Tournament Special Trophy for exceptional merit in multiple classifications
• City of Torrance: "Afternoon Tea with Friends" - Tournament Volunteers' Trophy for best floral design of parade theme under 35 feet in length

"This year's combination of unique, creative float sponsors combined with Fiesta Parade Floats' ability to continually push the bounds of float design, engineering and floral presentation resulted in a spectacular line-up of float entries that were recognized by parade judges and captured the attention of millions of viewers as they made their way down Colorado Blvd. earlier today," said Tim Estes, president of Fiesta Parade Floats. Working hand-in-hand with vice president and floral director, Jim Hynd and world renowned float designer, Raul Rodriguez, Fiesta Parade Floats' 2011 line up of Rose Parade floats raised the bar for float design, construction and floral presentation and included a little bit of everything from state fairs to luxury ocean liners, to family game nights and Hawaiian luaus to record setting high-diving canines, gentle dragons, fanciful felines and Presidential birthdays.

In addition to the award recipients, Fiesta Parade Floats delighted parade goers with its entries for City of Duarte/City of Hope, Macy's, and UNO, which celebrated the 40^th anniversary of Mattel's popular card game.
