Keane Optimum Receives ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Certification as 'Complete EHR'
BOSTON - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Keane,
Inc., a U.S.-based IT services and health care information technology
firm, announced today that Keane
OptimumTM, Version 3.1.0, is 2011/2012 compliant and was
certified as a Complete EHR on November 19, 2010 by the Certification
Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT), an ONC-ATCB, in
accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the
Secretary of Health and Human Services.
The 2011/2012
criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to
qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
"We congratulate CCHIT for being one of the
first to gain recognition as an authorized testing and certification
body for EHRs, and are proud to be included in the initial wave of
technology receiving EHR certification," said Michael Thomas, executive
vice president of Keane's Health and Life Sciences business. "Keane
Optimum benefits the entire enterprise by helping to reduce medical
errors, increase efficiency and improve delivery of care, and we believe
our position at the leading edge of the EHR movement underscores our
commitment to helping our clients achieve meaningful use."
The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that
Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet
one or more - but not all - of the criteria approved by the Secretary of
Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital
technology.
"CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products so that
companies are now able to offer these products to providers who wish to
purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful
use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives," said Karen M. Bell, M.D.,
M.S.S., Chair, CCHIT.
Keane Optimum, Version 3.1.0, certification number 1112-823400-1. The
