New Jersey Resources Selected as Subject Company for NY Regional Competition of Global IRC®

New Jersey Resources, a Fortune 1000 company, provides reliable energy and natural gas services including transportation, distribution, and asset management in states from the Gulf Coast to the New England regions, including the Mid-Continent region, the West Coast and Canada, while investing in and maintaining an extensive infrastructure to support future growth.

The Global IRC is an educational initiative in which leading industry professionals teach business and finance students how to research and report on a publicly traded company.

The New York regional challenge includes 16 universities:

• Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College
• School of Management, Binghamton University
• Dolan School of Business, Fairfield University
• School of Business, Fordham University
• Frank G. Zarb School of Business, Hofstra University
• Hagan School of Business, Iona College
• School of Management, New Jersey Institute of Technology
• Stern School of Business, New York University
• Lubin Business School, Pace University
• Quinnipiac University
• Rutgers Business School, Rutgers University
• Stillman Business School, Seton Hall University
• Tobin College of Business, St. John's University
• University at Albany, State University of New York
• College of Business, Stony Brook University
• Yale School of Management, Yale University

Each team prepares a written research report and gives a preliminary presentation to professionals who will select four finalists. The "final four" presents their research to a panel of respected Wall Street experts on February 17, 2011 and the winner is selected based on combined scores for the written report and oral presentation. The New York regional winner advances to the Global IRC Final in Omaha, Nebraska on April 8, 2011.
