Regional Arts Organizations and Campus Productions Round Out The 2011 Spring Season At New Three Stages Regional Performing Arts Center

(Folsom, CA) The rich and varied range of performances offered by Three Stages at Folsom Lake College can be described as a stool with three legs - the presenting program (described in the attached press release), its community partners and its campus productions, both described below.

Tickets for the spring 2011 season of performing arts - a sampler of the types of events that can be expected at the new Center in the future - will be available for sale online beginning Friday, November 19, 2010 at www.threestages.net.

The Three Stages Ticket Office will open for phone sales beginning at 10 am on Monday, November 22, 2010. The phone number is 916-608-6888. Three Performances: Sacramento Ballet
One of California's foremost dance companies. The Sacramento Ballet makes its Three Stages debut as part of the company's 2010-11 season, "Coloring Outside the Lines." Corazón de Mexico: Compañía Mazatlán Bellas Artes
One of California's most esteemed Mexican folkdance companies. Under the artistic direction of Steven Valencia, 35 exceptional dancers, mariachis, and other musicians present a lively and passionate rendition of Mexican culture, both past and present.

That's Entertainment - Broadway in Review: Sierra Community Chorus
The acclaimed 60-member chorus, under the direction of Lorin Miller, performs an evening of celebrated favorites of the American musical theater.

Muriel Anderson & Tierra Negra
Muriel Anderson ("Just one hell of a great player," Les Paul) and Germany's guitar duo Tierra Negra, longtime proponents of Flamenco Nuevo, join forces: the concert begins with separate performances, then after intermission they combine forces for a fiery finale. A benefit for the Sacramento Guitar Society.

These productions, originating from Folsom Lake College, offer a glimpse of student and emerging artists, often working in collaboration with area professionals.

The Skin of Our Teeth: Falcon's Eye Theatre
A groundbreaking satiric fantasy, Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning allegory follows the extraordinary Antrobus family down through the ages. Presented by the well-regarded Falcon's Eye Theatre; directed by David Harris.

March 25-27, April 1-3,7-10

Four Concerts: Folsom Lake College Music Department
Chaired by Larry Metcalf, these concerts provide capstone performance experiences for musicians and vocalists, with performances by the College Choir, Jazz Choir and both a student and contemporary songwriting recital.

Evening of Dance: MOSAIC Dance Company
From ballet to jazz, hip-hop to contemporary, Folsom Lake College's student company is a "mosaic" of dancers and choreographers, launching the next generation of dance artists.

Jazz After Dark: Folsom Lake College Afro-Cuban Funk Band
Talented, energetic, and innovative, with a rigorous performance schedule planned for 2010-2011, ACF is a journey around the globe by way of funk-infused world music. The word of mouth on the band is already national - catch them now, at home at Three Stages, with the new Urban Jazz Project adding acid jazz to the mix.
