Franklin Foods Awarded Business of the Year for 2010

Innovative Vermont Dairy Manufacturer Acknowledged for Job Creation and Capital Investment in Largest Dairy County in New England

Franklin Foods, a leading manufacturer and marketer of cream cheese and cream cheese based products announces it has received Vermont's "Franklin County Business of the Year" for 2010. This award is given by the Franklin County Industrial Development Corporation. John Ovitt, general manager of Franklin Foods, accepted the award.

According to Tim Smith, executive director of FCIDC, "The business award focuses on community involvement, job retention, employee development and manufacturing investment."

"We are very proud to be located in New England's largest dairy milk shed and to be acknowledged by the FCIDC for our company commitment to our employees, community and manufacturing facility investments. This award is especially important to the entire Franklin Foods team since Franklin County is the largest dairy manufacturing sector in Vermont," said Rocco Cardinale, director of marketing.
