King & Spalding Expands Its Finance Practice With Addition of Three Partners in Charlotte

The international law firm King & Spalding continued its strategic growth with the announcement today of the addition of three partners from Moore & Van Allen to its finance practice.

The three lawyers, William H. Fuller III, M. Bryant Gatrell and Ronald S. Lovelace, all specialize in advising banks and other lenders in a variety of complex financing transactions and share deep ties to several long-time King & Spalding clients. They will be resident in the firm's Charlotte office.

Fuller brings to King & Spalding considerable experience in both leveraged and investment-grade financings in the healthcare, industrial growth, media, telecommunications and aerospace and defense sectors. He has been involved in numerous acquisition financings involving senior secured and subordinated debt. He also represents corporations in connection with their financing needs and has significant experience in the work-out and negotiation of troubled credits. Fuller received a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. degree, with highest distinction, from the University of North Carolina, where he was a Morehead scholar. Chambers USA rates him as "highly respected for his lending work," and he has been selected to Best Lawyers In America's list of banking law and corporate law each year since 2005.

Gatrell works with banks, commercial financing companies, institutional investors and leasing companies on corporate loan facilities, acquisition, real estate and project finance, asset-based lending and syndicated credit facilities. His experience spans a wide array of industries, including energy, healthcare, dairy, defense, manufacturing, restaurants, sports and recreation, telecommunications and textiles. He received a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School and dual B.A. degrees from the University of Missouri.

Lovelace focuses on commercial lending, representing banks, arrangers and other institutions in syndicated and bilateral credit facilities. He has negotiated asset-based, acquisition and working capital financing in numerous industries, including energy, retail, media, defense, telecommunications, professional sports and utilities. He received a J.D. degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a B.S.B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina.

King & Spalding opened its Charlotte office in 2007.
