Tree Lighting at The Grove Sunday, November 21 at 7:30 P.M. Celebrates the Holiday Season with Live Music from Some of Today's Hottest Stars, Special Performances, Celebrity Appearances and More
LOS ANGELES - (BUSINESS WIRE) - The annual "Hollywood Christmas Celebration at The Grove," on Sunday,
November 21 at 7:30 p.m. leads Los Angeles into the holiday season. The
festive evening, free and open to the public, will be hosted by EXTRA'S
Mario Lopez and include performances from talented singer David
Archuleta, runner-up on Season 7 of American Idol who
recently released his second album "The Other Side of Down," featuring
the hit single "Something 'Bout Love," and singer, songwriter and actor Jesse
McCartney whose new album "Have it All" will be released in
December. Dave Koz and Friends, featuring world-renowned
saxophonist Dave Koz , singer-guitarist Jonathan Butler,
keyboardist Brian Culbertson and saxophone star Candy Dulfer,
will entertain The Grove crowd with their extraordinary music and catchy
rhythms. Also performing will be singer Charice, the Internet
sensation known for her powerful voice and guest spot on hit show Glee
and singer and guitarist Michael Grimm who won the country over
to win Season 5 of America's Got Talent. Grammy Award nominated
trio Wilson Phillips, known for their remarkable vocal harmonies,
will delight the crowd with songs from their recently released album
"Christmas in Harmony."
In the spirit of the holiday season, Starlight Children's Foundation
will make a special presentation and share an inspiring story from a
young Starlight child. They also will collect donations of new,
unwrapped, latex-free toys for distribution to children of all ages who
may be spending the holidays in the hospital.
The evening will include The Top Hats, a professional chorus line
dance troupe created just for The Grove, and the anticipated arrival of
Santa. A highlight of the evening will be when beloved actor and Saturday
Night Live legend Dan Aykroyd lights the brilliant 100-foot
Christmas tree with its 10,000 glistening lights and 15,000 sparkling
ornaments. The season's first "snowfall" and a mesmerizing fireworks
display will conclude the celebration.
Throughout the holidays, beginning Tuesday Nov. 23 - Dec. 21 at 6 p.m.,
Make-A-Wish Foundation will debut Weekly Wish Nights in The Park at The
Grove as part of its Season of Wishes program making a child's
holiday dream come true.
