ICA Announces Expansion and Addition to Its Leadership Team, Welcomes New Board Members
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - With continued dramatic market uptake of its CareAlign solution among
Health Information Exchanges (HIE) and hospital systems throughout the
country, the Informatics Corporation of America (ICA; www.icainformatics.com)
announces expansion in the Company's leadership team. John Tempesco,
formerly vice president, Client Services, assumes the role of Chief
Marketing Officer; Brian Higdon, formerly of Affinion Group, becomes
vice president, Client Services; and Sandra H. Lillie, formerly vice
president, Strategic Accounts at TeraMedica Healthcare Technology, steps
in as vice president of Sales and Business Development.
ICA also welcomes new members to its Board of Directors: Brett Sweet,
vice chancellor for Finance and chief financial officer, Vanderbilt
University Medical Center; John F. Manning, associate vice chancellor
for Health Affairs and chief administration officer, senior associate
dean for Operations and Administration, Vanderbilt University Medical
Center; and Gordon R. Bernard, M.D., associate vice-chancellor for
Research, senior associate dean for Clinical Sciences, School of
Medicine, Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Before joining ICA, Higdon ran Client and Member Services for Affinion
Group, a $1.5B international marketing company where his teams developed
and delivered client solutions for 4,500 institutions and more than 30
million customers. Prior to this position, Mr. Higdon served as a
Manager for Arthur Andersen in the Business Process Consulting Group,
where he worked with national clients providing solutions and driving
consistent execution across a variety of industries. Mr. Higdon began
his professional career in the U.S. Army where he was a Ranger and
combat veteran. He is a C.P.A. with degrees in Business Management and
Accounting from Tennessee Technological University.
Lillie has a proven track record of growing profitable business,
securing new engagements, cross-functional collaboration, and
maintaining loyal customer relationships. Prior to joining ICA she was
vice president, Strategic Accounts, at TeraMedica Healthcare Technology
where she increased sales velocity from a direct-sale-only strategy to
one that includes formal business partners. Prior to this position, Ms.
Lillie served as director and area vice president, Healthcare & Life
Sciences-East, for Dell, Inc. where she led a $470M business comprised
of three regions selling to the health care provider markets, and
expanded the sales team to support new market focus in the health care
payer space. Prior to Dell, Sandra held multiple leadership positions
with both EMC Corporation and Unisys. She received a B.S. in Business
from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Currently, ICA is working with more than 100 hospitals and over 500
clinics to deliver its EHR, tools and technology solutions, including
Northwest Healthcare, the largest participant in the Health Information
Exchange of Montana (HIEM); Bassett Healthcare's integrated delivery
system in Cooperstown, N.Y.; Lourdes Hospital Systems, Paducah, K.Y.;
and the Mid-South eHealth Alliance, the Memphis-based regional health
information exchange. ICA has further expanded its geographic reach with
client signings in Arizona, Texas, Illinois, Georgia, New Jersey, and
Massachusetts.
