No Official Title Or Duties for First Lady! Michelle Obama Stay in Background!

"A spokesman for Andrew Cuomo said the New York governor-elect's girlfriend, Food network host Sandra Lee, will not have an official title.

Cuomo spokesman Josh Vlasto said Lee, Cuomo's girlfriend of five years, will not be referred to as the first lady and she will not have any official duties or staff, the New York Daily News reported Friday." UPI

I agree with the decision not to call Sandra Lee the first Lady. Lee has a successful career as a TV personality, and she shouldn't be defined by her relationship with Andrew Cuomo.

Even if she were married to Cuomo she shouldn't have any official duties or staff, the electorate voted for Cuomo, not for his wife, mistress or girlfriend.

The same principle should apply for the president's wife or girlfriend. A president's spouse should remain in the background, and not be considered an official administration staff member.

I could care less about Michelle Obama or any previous First Lady. Michelle should resume her career as a lawyer, and she should be stripped of all her official White House duties.
