Well, the Hardball host asked her last night, now that you and your party control Congress, who's first up?
"Will you use subpoena powers to do what you said on my show you'd do: Investigate the Democratic members of Congress for un-American activities?" Matthews asked. Michele Bachman is a right-wing zealot whose elevator doesn't go to the top floor, she has a history of making bizarre statements.
Chris Matthews smelled blood, and he sought to put the conservative darling on the spot by repeatedly asking her if she would investigate members of Congress for un-American activities.
Bachman made the MSNBC liberal commentator look like a fool by totally ignoring his question, and sticking to her talking points.
Finally the exasperated Matthews asked Bachman if she was hypnotized. Bachman replied by referencing Matthews infamous comment about how he felt when h e heard Obama giving a speech: I felt this thrill going up my leg.
I thought Matthews was going to have a heart attack, he was seething with rage.
Bachman, who always looks like she's in a trance, got the best of Chris Matthews.
My political ideology is in tune with Matthews, but I laughed like a fool at the spectacle of a dimwit conservative making a jackass out of the smart-aleck commentator.
