KF Awards Accenture Application Management Services Contract

Under the terms of the agreement, Accenture will manage the existing portfolio of SAP and Microsoft applications, legacy mainframe applications and websites of Coop, KF's grocery retail business unit. The contract covers the applications used by all of Coop's key business and operational areas, including supply chain, customer loyalty, online services, marketing, merchandising, human resources and finance.

The contract is designed to help Coop standardize processes, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce technology costs, as well as better anticipate and meet future business demands.

"This contract will enable Coop to better meet future delivery requirements while reducing costs," said Johnny Capor, chief financial officer of KF. "Accenture's retail experience, combined with extensive knowledge of application services and its off-shore delivery capability, make it the natural choice to enhance our application management."

The services will be delivered through Accenture's Global Delivery Network.
