No Such Thing as a Bad Image With the New RitzFix Service Utilizing Adobe Photoshop Elements Software

Ritz & Wolf Camera & Image, the premier retail destination for cameras and imaging, announces its new RitzFix service, featuring the popular consumer photo editing software Adobe® Photoshop® Elements. RitzFix allows customers to work with Ritz & Wolf associates to crop, sharpen and edit their photos to perfection before printing, and is now offered in all of the company's 300 locations from coast to coast.

"It's undeniable that Adobe's Photoshop software solutions are the category leader for photo editing needs, and as the leader in retail imaging we want to make sure we're offering our customers the most advanced technology available," says Stephen M. LaMastra, president of Ritz & Wolf. "We're very excited to launch our RitzFix service, which guarantees frame-worthy pictures even for the most amateur photographers. We are also confident that when coupled with our one-hour printing guarantee, we now provide an unprecedented level of service, to our millions of customers, that further differentiates us in the marketplace."

"The RitzFix service is a great introduction to the ease, simplicity and editing magic found in Photoshop Elements," explains Kevin Connor, vice president of product management for Digital Imaging at Adobe. "Unique to Adobe is our ability to take powerful technology found in the professional versions of our products -- specifically Photoshop -- and make it accessible to photo enthusiasts with Photoshop Elements software. We're happy to see Ritz & Wolf providing a place for their customers to learn more about digital photo editing and to produce images they will be proud to share with family and friends."

Visitors to Ritz & Wolf stores can take advantage of the consumer editing software before printing their images for a minimal cost. Leveraging Adobe Photoshop Elements software, customers can work alongside Ritz & Wolf's knowledgeable associates to utilize moderate editing capabilities, including:

  • Spot and Dust removal
  • Exposure correction
  • Stray Hair removal
  • Sharpening an image
  • Minor skin corrections (i.e. Crow's feet, eye circles, etc.)
  • Printing from a video file
  • Removing a object or person from image
  • Date or time stamp removal
  • Adding special effects
  • Whitening teeth
  • Resize and print vintage size classic images

The cost for the RitzFix service ranges from $15 to $25 per job depending on the complexity of the work. The new in-store service offers a quick way for consumers to edit their photos, and also provides an introduction to some of the amazing editing features of Photoshop Elements. At all Ritz & Wolf retail store locations, digital print orders placed in-store will be ready in less than one hour.

Interested customers who want to make further edits or create and share from their home computer can purchase Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 software for Mac or Windows® for US$99.99 at www.adobe.com.
