Top Gun 2 Destined to Be a Flop of Epic Proportions!

"Top Gun director Tony Scott says he's on board to direct a sequel to the 1986 blockbuster film. The new movie will look at the rise of drone-operated aircraft as well as the end of fighter pilots' reign within the industry.

"Top Gun" was a blockbuster film that had all of us feeling a need for speed. But I predict that Top Gun 2 will bomb at the box-office.

In 1986 Tom Cruise was at the top of his game, girls swooned at the mention of his name and guys admired his macho persona. But the 2010 Tom Cruise is a loon with a penchant for jumping on Oprah's couch, and a knack for saying outrageous things. Tom Cruise is box-office poison, and if he is given a cameo in the sequel, it will guarantee that the movie will bomb.

The 1986 motion picture took us to the danger zone, but the sequel will take us to a trailer where young men and women play video games?

"Top Gun" was a great action movie with a less than subtle homoerotic subtext, it had a lasting influence on the culture.

"Top Gun 2", might open big on the first weekend, but it will quickly disappear from the theaters and it will have zero impact on pop culture.
