Lead Investigator In The Falcon Lake Mexican Pirates' Shooting Case Beheaded

"Mexican authorities have said they will press their search for the body of an American tourist even after the lead investigator was decapitated.

"I still believe they are going to do what they can for David and for us, for bringing him home," said Tiffany Hartley, whose husband, David Hartley, was believed to be killed by Mexican pirates while out sightseeing on a border lake near Texas.

Hartley said she had met last week with Rolando Flores, the head of state investigators in Ciudad Miguel Aleman, and that he seemed to be working hard to find her husband.

Flores' severed head was delivered Tuesday in a suitcase to a military post near the border with Texas. His wife had said he was working late on the Hartley case on Monday night and never came home." Read More

When Tiffany Hartley reported that her husband was shot by Mexican pirates while they were sightseeing on Flacon Lake, her claims were met with suspicions by authorities on both sides of the border.

Falcon Lake stretches into Mexican waters, and the couple were on the Mexican side of the lake when they were attacked by the pirates/drug gang.

Now that the lead Mexican investigator on the Hartley case has been decapitated there should be no more doubts that Tiffany is telling the truth. Tiffany isn't lying to cover up her own involvement in the murder of her husband.

Mexican authorities have requested that Hartley travel to Mexico to give a statement and fill out paperwork. Hartley wisely declined, nobody can guarantee her safety. The drug cartels operate with impunity, and if they have no fear of killing a police investigator, they certainly wouldn't hesitate to kill Hartley.

Tiffany can't fight the drug cartels and the inept and corrupt Mexican government; the grieving widow needs the full support of the United States government. Tiffany is simply asking for the return of her husband's body, so she can give him a proper burial.
