Just Who in the Hell Is Judge Virginia Phillips?

So, just who in the hell is U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips?

To begin with, she was appointed to the bench by Bill Clinton. Even worse, she received her law degree from UC-Berkeley.

Ms. Phillips' put her leftist credentials to full use when she opted to unilaterally shut down the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy of the Congress and the military with respect to gays in the military.

As reported, in part, at CNN:

"A federal judge on Tuesday ordered the U.S. military to stop enforcing the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, effectively ending the ban on openly gay troops.

U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips' permanent injunction orders the military "immediately to suspend and discontinue any investigation, or discharge, separation, or other proceeding, that may have been commenced" under the "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

The military was sued by Log Cabin Republicans, a gay rights group.

Justice Department spokesperson Tracy Shmaler would only say the department is "reviewing the ruling." The department has 60 days to appeal, but is not required to do so."

Do NOT hold your breath waiting for the Obama administration to appeal this judicial malpractice.

Phillips' ruling allows Obama and his Marxist pals to hide behind the seedy black robe of a misguided lefty who clearly does not give a tinker's dam about the overwhelming majority (95 percent) of those serving in the military, namely straight men and women.

Phillips seems just as cavalier and unconcerned about national defense and security, which is what the military is supposed to be all about.

Although it is probably politically incorrect to ask about Phillips' background, she should be required to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of what it means to be a straight soldier in harms' way.

This decision must be appealed all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court where conservative values will prevail.
