Tahitian Noni International Announces Two More Peer Reviewed Papers Are Published

PROVO, Utah - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Scientists at Tahitian Noni International's (TNI) research laboratory had two new peer-reviewed studies published on the health benefits of noni leaves. Noni leaves have been used topically in traditional folk medicine for centuries to treat inflammation, skin abrasions, and burns. This history is what encouraged the TNI scientists to research the noni leaf further, and find that just like the noni fruit-it too has proven health benefits.

The first paper addresses the wound healing effects of noni leaves. It was found that noni leaf juice significantly increased wound closure rates. The article was published in the Wiley Online Library.

The second paper focuses on how noni leaf extracts help mitigate UVB-induced injury to the skin. When the noni leaf juice was applied, the UVB dose required to induce erythema was almost 3.5 times greater than with untreated skin. These results suggest that noni leaves may be useful in mitigating UVB-induced injury to the skin. This article was published in PubMed.

Tahitian Noni uses the noni leaf in many of its skin and facial care products and has a noni leaf serum that is used to nourish and soothe the skin from weather damage (i.e. sunburn, windburn, etc.). Research is constantly being done at TNI's dedicated research facility to better understand the benefits of the noni fruit, leaf, and seeds.
