Tatara Systems' Marc Cremer Named Finalist for 2010 MassTLC Emerging Executive of the Year Award
ACTON, Mass. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Tatara Systems, the leader in SIP-based femtocell convergence, today
announced that its executive vice president of operations, Marc Cremer,
has been selected as a finalist for the 2010 Mass Technology Leadership
Council's Emerging Executive Award.
In its 13th year, the 2010 Mass Technology Leadership
Council's (MassTLC) Awards program spotlights companies, people, and
technologies that exemplify the best and the brightest in the
Massachusetts innovative technology community. The awards are the first
and only awards to equally recognize outstanding achievement in the
development and implementation of technology. The 2010 Emerging
Executive of the Year Award category recognizes "rising star" executives
in the past year. Award winners will be announced at the 2010 MassTLC
Awards Gala to be held on Wednesday, November 03, 2010 at the Seaport
Hotel in Boston, MA.
"We'd like to congratulate Marc for being named a finalist in this
year's awards program," said Tom Hopcroft, president & CEO of the Mass
Technology Leadership Council. "We received more nominations than ever
so this year's finalists are truly the creme of the crop when it comes
to driving innovation and growth in our sector."
As a proven executive with over 19 years experience across the
telecommunication solutions value chain, Cremer is responsible for
Tatara's Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Operations
organizations. An accomplished industry executive, Cremer rejoined
Tatara in 2008 from Airvana where he served as vice president of EMEA
and channel sales. Prior to Airvana, as the vice president of sales for
Tatara he was responsible for developing and implementing Tatara's
global sales strategy for the company's first generation of Mobile
Broadband products, a product line which Tatara later sold to Smith
Micro Software in October of 2008. Previously, Cremer held positions as
the vice president of sales for PCTEL's Mobility Solutions Group and
director of worldwide sales for Motorola Semiconductor's Networking and
Computing Systems Group. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of
positions within Motorola's Software Products Division, Catalyst
Semiconductor, Xicor, and Raytheon. Cremer holds a B.S.E.E. from
Northeastern University.
"This is great news that the Mass Technology Leadership Council have
chosen Marc as a finalist for this prestigious recognition," stated E.Y.
Snowden, president and chief executive officer for Tatara Systems. "It
is fitting to see that his successful efforts which have helped to make
Tatara the leader in SIP-based femtocell integration, including our
