Toronto, Canada, September 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Fast-emerging online fantasy host Fantrax.com has announced exclusive agreements with acclaimed writers I.J. Schecter, Scott Taylor and Marty York.

Schecter has signed on to become the site's feature golf columnist, Taylor its general sports columnist and York its lead football columnist. York also will serve as Fantrax.com's editor-in-chief.

"We're thrilled to have landed Marty, Scott, and I.J.," says Lee Kleiner, president of Fantrax. "We have a strong commitment not only to be the top fantasy sports league manager online but also to provide original content from outstanding writers. I.J. isn't just one of the funniest writers you'll ever come across. He's also been known to predict Sunday meltdowns based on a golfer's body language on the first tee. Scott has covered every major event imaginable and is internationally known. Marty has been writing about football forever, knows the game inside out, and isn't afraid to stir the pot a little. These three complement each other perfectly."

Fantrax's new stable of columnists will include experts such as tennis pro and U.S. college football expert Michael Emmett, auto racing wizard John Bassett, mixed-martial arts and boxing expert Tyler Warman, NHL guru Monika Morivon, NBA fantasy insider Matt McCloskey and baseball insider Ryan Hains.

"In reality, all of our new columnists are fully equipped to write about several of the sports we cover," Kleiner says. "And they've agreed to provide as much information to Fantasy players as possible."

Schecter is author of the bestseller Slices: Observations from the Wrong Side of the Fairway, a regular contributor to top golf magazines throughout the world and creator of the popular golf blog Fairway Adventures.

Taylor, formerly the lead sports columnist with The Winnipeg Free Press and a regular contributor to The National Post and The Score Television Network, has covered a combined total of more than 100 Olympic Games, Super Bowls, Stanley Cups, NBA championship series and World Series.

York, known widely for his national television segment and national columns called The York Report, is a former sports columnist for The Globe and Mail and Metro newspapers as well as Sportsnet and was a football insider for TSN and Rogers Sportsnet.

The new columns from all the aforementioned writers can be read at www.fantrax.com starting Sep. 1, 2010.

Fantrax has risen quickly as a major player in the fantasy sports world with its extremely flexible and feature-rich product, competing favorably with established products like CBS Sports by offering several highly desirable and unique options, such as automatic salary generation, player rankings based on the league's scoring system, and playoff leagues for all major sports, for those who still haven't satisfied the fantasy bug once the regular season is done.
