Wayne Rooney scores With 1200-A-Night Prostitute!

Wayne Rooney is hitting the headlines again, but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

According to the latest News reports, Rooney has been sleeping with a £1200-a-night prostitute, while his wife was pregnant and prior to the World Cup. There is some speculation that this may explain his poor performance in the competition.

Rooney's wife Coleen was said to be "devastated" when her husband broke the news to her yesterday, and there are fears that their marriage may not survive.

Barely a month ago we saw photographs in the papers of Rooney enjoying a night out in Manchester, where he was seen smoking and apparently urinating on the streets. It was clear from the reports that his wife was not very impressed with his behaviour and it was perhaps no surprise to hear that things have become worse.

Like many other talented footballers in the past (George Best springs to mind), Rooney is struggling to cope with his success. Despite his immense skills and new found wealth, a part of him is still living on that Council Estate where he was brought up.

Although stars like Rooney are entitled to a private life, fame usually brings certain conditions. Many look up to Rooney as a kind of role-model and it is his duty to set a good example to his fans (who have provided him with financial security).

But what makes a successful footballer like Rooney want to cheat on his pregnant wife with a prostitute? The answer to that is probably sexual inexperience. Both Wayne and Coleen seem to have had a limited number of relationships (where sex was involved). According to one report, Rooney visited brothels in Liverpool as a 16-year-old and admitted to paying for sex with a 48-year-old grandmother.

It is not unusual for a man to seek out a prostitute for the sexual experience they possess, as quite often their partner lacks in this department. This is not meant as an excuse for such behaviour, but a reason why it happens.

Whilst it may be difficult for Rooney's wife to forgive her husband, it may help to understand that such relationships (with prostitutes) are purely sexual in nature and rarely seen as a need to replace the "normal" life that a person leads.

However, in saying that, Rooney should take a good long look at his life and decide whether he would prefer the advantages of a wife, kids, fame and fortune, or become an out of work "has-been" who wasted £1200-a-night on women who will forget him as soon as the money runs out.

My advice for Rooney would be to concentrate on repairing the damage to his marriage, and if successful, find a way of adding some "spice" to his sex life (with his wife), so that he no longer feels the need to look elsewhere. If he can do that, we may see him achieve his full potential on the football pitch and enjoy the pleasures of a normal family life.
