Edmunds.com Launches Online Car Game with Cash Card Prizes
SANTA MONICA, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Why are people attracted to the cars they buy? How well could you
predict how other people feel about a car's appearance, luxuriousness
and sportiness?
Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information,
today announces the launch of its Vehicle Rating Game at http://survey.edmunds.com/rating.
Participants are asked to rate a set of cars on their appearance,
luxuriousness and sportiness, and then are challenged to predict the
average rating for each vehicle from all the other players. The game
takes about five minutes to play, and winners will be announced monthly
and will be awarded Visa gift cards worth up to $2,000.
"Developed in collaboration with Claremont College and Princeton
University professor Ely Dahan, the Vehicle Ratings Game will enable
Edmunds.com to tap the 'wisdom of crowds' and capture subjective data on
how people think about the emotional aspects of cars," said Rob Hardy,
Product Manager of Consumer Preferences at Edmunds.com. "Most
importantly, the Vehicle Ratings Game data will ultimately be used to
help automotive shoppers understand what kind of car is right for them."
See eligibility requirements, read official rules and play the game at http://survey.edmunds.com/rating.
