Mega Bad Beat Jackpot Totaling $91,401 Hits at Delaware Park
WILMINGTON, Del. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Yesterday marked the Casino at Delaware Park's largest Bad Beat Jackpot
payout when Anthony Burchett from Blackbird, Delaware lost a hand of
Texas Hold'em with four eights. Mr. Burchett was awarded $41,100 and the
second player, who won the hand with four Jacks, walked away with
$22,850. The nearly 100 lucky patrons playing Texas Hold'em in Delaware
Park's Poker Room at the time were also each paid $283.
According to the rules of the Mega Bad Beat Jackpot, four of a kind must
lose to a superior hand. 45% of the jackpot is awarded to the losing
player in the hand, 25% is given to the winning player, and the
remaining 30% is divided equally among the other players dealt to in the
Poker Room when the Mega Bad Beat occurred. This is Delaware Park's
first Mega Bad Beat awarded since its live table games officially opened
on June 18th. The Mega Bad Beat Jackpot is reset to $50,000
and continues to grow.
Said Poker Room Manager Anthony Chester, "This is really exciting. You
never know when a Bad Beat will be dealt. Everyone in the room was
pumped up."
The Delaware Park 20-table Poker Room is a non-smoking, spacious
environment with 15 LCD televisions and showcases popular West Coast
games, such as H.O.R.S.E. (a combination of Hold'em, Omaha, Razz, Stud,
and Stud 8/B) in addition to the traditional East Coast favorites.
Delaware Park's Poker Room is open 24 hours a day, except Christmas and
Easter.
Tournaments currently offered include 24/7 Sit & Go's; Monday-Friday 11
a.m. No-Limit Hold'em Tournaments ($65 Buy-in); and Saturday/Sunday noon
No-Limit Hold'em Tournaments ($150 Buy-in).
In response to player demand for tournament play, a 25-table Tournament

"Tournament play is in high demand right now. Everyone wants to test
their skills and experience the thrill of competition, just like they
see on television everyday," commented Chester.
