Breaking News: Oil Rig Explodes In Gulf Of Louisiana
By Robert Paul Reyes
"An oil rig has exploded in the Gulf of Louisiana, WDSU reports. Thirteen workers aboard the rig were reportedly thrown into the water, but have been accounted for." Read More
This is breaking news, and the reports are sketchy. CNN is reporting that one worker is still missing.
The details may be sketchy at this point in time, but one thing is crystal clear: Off-shore drilling poses an extreme danger to the environment, the residents who live nearby, and the oil workers.
The Coast Guard has multiple helicopters and cutters en route to the scene of the accident.
