Leo Motors Develops Conversion Kit for 1 Ton Truck
LAS VEGAS - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Leo Motors, Inc. (Pink Sheets: LEOM) announced that it has successfully
finished testing its conversion kit for 1 ton (2,200 pound) load rated
trucks. Installed in Hyundai Motors' truck named Porter, the converted
e-truck can carry a 2,200 pound payload in its cargo deck, can run
maximum speed of 70 Mph, and can climb mountain roads up to a 35 percent
grade with an average speed of 30 Mph.
The converted truck is equipped with Leo's 30kW power train system and
30kW Lithium Polymer Power pack including Leo's high precision Battery
Management System (BMS). Dr. Robert Kang, CEO of Leo Motors said, "This
development has a great significance, because the 1 ton truck is the
most-used truck size in Asia and in Europe."
Leo's conversion kit uses the existing power transmission of the
internal combustion engine (ICE) truck, and thus it gives the same
driving experience as with the ICE truck. After testing the converted
truck, Leo intends to market the conversion kits and services to fleet
operators as well as make the kits available to existing truck
manufacturers. Leo intends to market the kits globally.
Pictures of the 1 ton truck are located on the Company's website, www.leomotors.com.
