NY State Proclaims September 12, 2010 as Savvy Senior Day
MELVILLE, N.Y. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - The Association of Generational Experts for Seniors, AGES http://www.agesresourcenetwork.com,
will be hosting the annual SAVVY SENIOR AWARD event on Sunday, September
12, 2010.
September 12, 2010 has officially been recognized as SAVVY SENIOR DAY in
New York State. This legislative resolution, sponsored by Assemblywoman
Ann Margaret Carrozza, was adopted in the Assembly on June 9, 2010.
The resolution recognizes the 3 million Senior Citizens residing in the
State of New York that have contributed to the State by building and
preserving customs, traditions, and ideals. And, whose wisdom and
experience constantly enrich the lives of the young people of our State
through a strong tradition of volunteerism. All the residents of New
York State are urged to honor Savvy Seniors who are the cornerstone of
the strength of our Nation and to whom a debt of gratitude is owed.

, invites its neighbors and friends to celebrate at a free event at
the Brandywine Senior Living community in Melville as we honor
local seniors who are doing extraordinary things and making a difference
in people's lives!
This FREE community event will be in honor of the winners and
nominees of The 2010 Savvy Senior Award and will include food, fun,
senior resources, information, and prizes.
The event will be Sunday, September 12 from 11AM - 1.30 PM at the
Brandywine Senior Living Community in Melville. An RSVP is required ,

Special guest speaker will be Barbara Howard, M.B.A., Director of
Gerontology at the Mature Market Institute and active member of the
American Society on Aging.
Nominations for next years award are encouraged and welcome throughout
