FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Electronic Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS), a leading provider of information technology and system engineering services to the U.S. Federal Government, announced today that it was awarded a six year, $21 million task order for Smart Conference Room Support under its Information Technology Services-Environmental Protection Agency (ITS-EPA II) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The scope of this contract is to provide design, acquisition, installation, and personnel training for upgrading EPA meeting facilities to "smart" conference rooms. "Smart" conference rooms merge Audio, Visual, and IT technologies in a total network solution that allows for multimedia presentations; video and/or audio teleconferencing; and capture, retrieval, and display of information from EPA data networks. Roy Kapani, ECS' President and CEO stated, "ECS is pleased to be supporting the EPA on this mission-critical systems integration contract. The integrations and deployment of Smart Conference Rooms brings together the need to define communications requirements and scope the implementation of the Conference Rooms according to requirements and budgets. Smart Conference Rooms requires ECS to design, procure hardware and software and deploy systems. The successful implementation of a Smart Conference Room requires advanced voice and data communications skills and we appreciate the trust EPA has placed in ECS to support the nation-wide mission critical communication needs of the EPA."
