CEMEX at the XXI Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico
MONTERREY, Mexico & MAYAGÜEZ, Puerto Rico - (BUSINESS WIRE) - CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. (NYSE: CX) announced that it was a proud sponsor
and primary concrete supplier of the signature installations for the XXI
Central American and Caribbean Games, which took place in Puerto Rico
and closed on August 1st. The games hosted nearly 4,000
athletes from 35 countries and were attended by over 50,000 spectators.

Specifically, CEMEX supplied ready mix concrete for the construction of
four of the five major signature facilities:

The new Isidoro Garcia Baseball Stadium: A state of the art
baseball facility that seats over 10,000 spectators.

RUM Aquatic Complex: An athletic complex consisting of three
swimming pools, eight tennis courts and several racquetball courts.

Athletic Stadium Mayaguez 2010: Was created to host the opening
ceremonies for the Mayaguez 2010 games and consists of the athletic
track of Mayaguez. The structure located in an area of close to 11
acres with a main runway of 400 meters and a warm-up track of 200
meters. The park also meets FIFA's requirements to hold soccer matches.

Coastal Park (Parque del Litoral): The park has 2.54 km. of
recreational installations and covers an area of approximately 42
acres. The project emerged as one of the largest and most ambitious
urban development projects of the Mayaguez 2010 event.
