Aqua4MA by Kudos Launches to Save 30% on the Cost of Creating a Typical Wetroom

  Share With Friends

Aqua4ma, a new product by innovative British designer and manufacturer of shower enclosures, Kudos Showers, has been launched to save up to 30% on the cost of creating a fully watertight wetroom without compromising on style or functionality.

Installers currently face many problems when installing a wetroom - from the need to reduce the height of floors to accommodate deep bulky styrene boards, to over-boarding existing floorboards, a requirement for membrane type systems, through to the need for re-routing piping and, the fact that the room has to be fully designed so that each accessory has its place beforehand. These factors combined can easily increase the cost of installing a walk-in shower enclosure within a wetroom.

However, Aqua4MA by Kudos avoids these hurdles whilst also being 75% less time consuming to install. By using the patented Floor4MA system, a metal base tray combined with a UPVC top shower board, the unit stands 50 mm away from the wall and simply drops down securely into the required space. Consequently there is no need to cut right up to the wall or lower the floor and, with the unit sitting from just 10mm above the normal level of the floor, minimal height is added.

Furthermore, extruded UPVC is used for the wall and floor panels. 100% waterproof and incredibly robust, these interlocking panels are secured by a solvent weld adhesive. The adhesive reacts with the extruded UPVC creating a single, rigid and 100% waterproof floor panel, which are then screwed into place. The UPVC also self-heals itself around the screws to ensure that it stays completely watertight.

David Gannon, Sales and Marketing Director of Kudos Shower Products Ltd, commented: "Aqua4MA by Kudos is revolutionary in the way it creates a fully watertight, easy to install and economic wetroom without compromising on the usual or required aesthetics. By using our Floor4MA metal base tray and extruded UPVC top shower board, a typical wet area can be installed within an 1.5hrs saving the consumer money on installation costs and, will allow the installer to complete more jobs in a shorter space of time."

Suitable for entire rooms, Aqua4MA also allows accessories such as towel rails, wetroom screens and radiators to be screwed directly into the panels without the need for rawl plugs so; their location can be selected to suit the requirements of the homeowner without the fitment of additional bracing joinery which is often required by other wetroom systems. It is also suitable for use with any type of tile, which can also be replaced without causing damage to the walls, floor or tray.
