It was named the winner in a fierce competition of 13 semi-finalist brands pitching their cocktail to a panel of judges, including Merritt, Dale DeGroff, renowned mixologist and author of The Essential Cocktail and Francine Cohen, editor-in-chief of InsideFandB.com.

"It was such a treat to sample these creative cocktails with Dale and Francine, and I thank them for their time and commitment," said Merritt. "Some of the best industry masterminds--such as Charlotte Voisey, Adam Seger, Joe McCanta and Diego Loret de Mola, representing brands like Stoli Gala Applik, Hum Botanical Spirit and Barsol Primero Pisco--received top nods in the final selections. Other favorites of the day were Death's Door White Whiskey, Tres Leches Triple Cream liqueur and VeeV Acai.
