ChangeBASE AOK launches VMware ThinApp application compatibility Plug-in

London, UK, 29 July 2010 – ChangeBASE AOK, the world leader in automated application compatibility testing and remediation, today announces the first VMware ThinApp Plug-in to aid enterprise application compatibility in a virtualized environment.

The AOK ThinApp Plug-in enables compatibility mapping, analysis and automatic remediation of an application portfolio to allow accurate, efficient OS and application migration planning and roll-out. The Plug-in will give organizations the ability to speed up the entire application virtualization process, saving time and reducing costs whilst promoting accurate business case planning for the project.

VMware’s ThinApp, an application virtualization and portable application creator suite, packages conventional desktop or server applications so that they become portable and can be deployed anywhere within the organization without conflicts. However, as with any application virtualization technology, enterprises will discover a significant number of applications which will need some reconfiguration to be upgraded to run properly in this environment.

ChangeBASE AOK enables instant assessment of application compatibility within virtual environments. It streamlines application readiness by automating the testing, reporting and remediation of application compatibility issues for the target virtual environment.
