Camstar Reports Q2 Revenue Growth - Brings on New Customers across Life Sciences and High Tech
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Camstar Systems, Inc. announced today that its second quarter 2010
results reflected continued rapid revenue growth, with software license
revenue up over 60% year-to-date from 2009. Revenue from its Asia
Pacific region exceeded expectations, contributing over half the license
revenue for the quarter.
The majority of software license revenue came from new customers across
Life Sciences, Solar, High Tech, and Electronics. Camstar's Quality
Management solutions showed strong adoption, with over 30% of the
agreements in the quarter representing sales within the quality
management product line.
"Our strong financial results enable us to continue to make strategic
investments," said Scott Toney, President and CEO of Camstar. "Our
investments in Quality Management as well as our APAC acquisition last
year both contributed strongly to the quarter. We expect our most recent
acquisition of SigmaQuest, adding on-demand supply chain intelligence to
our portfolio, to also bear fruit quickly, given the strong interest
from our customer base and the analyst community."
"The addition of SigmaQuest's Cloud-based offerings to Camstar's strong
capabilities will enable brand owners to deliver high quality,
innovative products on time, the first time, every time," said Daniel R.
Matlis, President of Axendia analyst firm. "This is a revolutionary step
for the manufacturing industry, and should contribute significantly to
Camstar's future growth and leadership."
