New Financial Planning Concept Begins Construction at Midtown Crossing
OMAHA, Neb. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Callahan Financial Planning Company, a new Omaha-based business,
announced construction began this week at their new Midtown Crossing
offices.
A focus of the new facility is a classroom and meeting area where
regular classes will be held on personal finance topics. Most classes
will be free and open to the public.
Building up to the opening, Callahan Financial Planning has been running
an ad campaign announcing the upcoming arrival of "conflict-free
planning" to Omaha- the phrase they've used to describe their fee-only
financial planning service.
Company President William Callahan spoke to the significance of
receiving a financial plan without a product sale involved.
"Traditionally, clients working with a Financial Adviser must pay a
commission associated with a financial product," Callahan said. "All of
our staff believes there is a built-in conflict with this approach."
Clients of the new firm will instead pay a flat fee for the preparation
and oversight of a financial plan.
The new offices will be located on the south side of Farnam at 31st
Street overlooking a newly revitalized Turner Park. It is slated for
completion this September.
About Callahan Financial Planning Company:
Callahan Financial Planning Company is an Omaha-based, independent
financial planning and investment management company providing a unique
form of conflict-free financial planning services. Founded in 2010 as a
Nebraska registered investment adviser (RIA), the firm maintains a
stringent standard of fiduciary responsibility to each client.
After years of witnessing misguided recommendations from salespeople
disguised as "Financial Advisers," Callahan Financial Planning's
founder, William Callahan, knew there was a better way. His fundamental
belief that planners should work on behalf of their clients and not for
the company offering the highest sales commission to employees, led him
to form the company.
Callahan Financial Planning provides four flat-fee planning packages
that are independent of a client's net worth. From discussion to
completion, each client has a dedicated Financial Planner to ensure a
successful achievement of their plan. For more information, please visit www.callahanfp.com.
About Midtown Crossing:
Midtown Crossing at Turner Park is a 15-acre, mixed-use urban
development in the heart of Omaha's historic Midtown neighborhood. Built
around an expanded and revitalized Turner Park, the million-square-foot
development includes nearly 500 condominium and apartment units as well
