InnerPass Announces New Additions to Web Conferencing, Including Enhanced Conference Calling, File and Screen Sharing and File Syncing
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - InnerPass,
a well-known, premium Skype
application used by businesses for collaboration, recently announced
multiple product upgrades in an effort to enhance the user experience
among a community of over 2.6 million users.
The new features -some available now, some available in closed Beta-
will reach customers by the end of the summer. These product
enhancements reflect customer feedback and a commitment to the
development of a superior web conferencing and collaboration solution.
New features include: an expanded Conference Bridge, an updated
Screen-Sharing product, InnerPass Inbox and an easier File Manager
product. A quick overview of each feature:
Conference Bridge: The new Skype Conference Bridge available to
InnerPass users will help to ensure a top quality VoIP call regardless
of the number of call attendees. With the new Conference Bridge, every
caller maintains a one-to-one ratio in peer-to-peer calling, ensuring a
top-quality call. This feature also allows attendees to call in from any
platform, eliminating the need to use a phone or be logged on to a
specific VoIP provider. This feature is available in closed Beta.
Screen-Sharing: The benefits of screen-sharing to both personal
and business users are well-known; screen-sharing enables cost savings
by reducing or eliminating the need to travel and to increase
productivity by allowing mobile professionals to conduct business more
efficiently with each other. The new InnerPass screen-sharing tool
includes chat and recording features, the ability to switch presenters,
call the conference bridge and to show one or more documents or
applications at a time. This feature is available in closed Beta.
Inbox: Inbox
enables meeting attendees, whether they have InnerPass or not, to send
files directly to the host's Inbox on InnerPass. The host can then work
with the files right out of their Inbox, or organize them by moving them
into a set Meeting Room. This change eliminates the steps of opening up
an email, opening the attached files, saving them to a hard drive and
uploading them to various Meeting Rooms. This feature is available now.
File Syncing: File Syncing is most familiar to users in relation
to back-up services: the situation that once a file saved to a desktop
or hard drive was changed, those changes would automatically route to
the server or cloud as well. The InnerPass File Syncing update now
brings this capability to InnerPass users, creating a path from desktop
to Meeting Room, making it easier to share files and collaborate with
different users. This feature is available in closed Beta.
"InnerPass is committed to developing an online collaboration platform
that incorporates new technology, bringing efficiency and cost savings
to our user community," says Steve Parsloe, President and CEO of
InnerPass. "We seek to incorporate customer feedback in the development
of our technology in an effort to meet the ever-evolving needs of an
increasingly mobile workforce in the US and abroad."
