BEDMINSTER, N.J. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Cegedim Dendrite, the world's leading provider of pharmaceutical-specific Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions with a 35 percent global market share, today announced the results of the Cegedim Dendrite 2010 Pharma Insights Survey, a market research study conducted in May this year in the Americas.

The survey found 35 percent of respondents saw changing commercial business models as the most pressing issue. The biggest changes to business models currently being implemented are an increased focus on market access strategies (40%), primary sales force re-alignment (20%) and a greater focus on managed care (17%).

Cegedim Dendrite's 2010 Pharmaceutical Insights Survey report covers current topics such as identifying key corporate objectives, drivers of business model changes and anticipated changes to current business models, among a myriad of interesting topics.

According to the survey, top objectives for 2010 include new product innovation and launch (67%) and profitability growth (51%). Also, government and regulatory reform, as well as generic competition, are cited as areas of both current and future concern.

"It came as no surprise to learn that the greatest concern is the changing commercial business model," stated Angela Miccoli, President of Cegedim Dendrite Americas. "Life Sciences companies need a way to respond to a rapidly evolving industry that is presented with market access challenges, extreme competitive pressures and stiffer regulatory requirements." According to Miccoli, "Our vast local footprint in over sixty countries, deep understanding of the Life Sciences industry and proven solutions in CRM, regulatory compliance, data and marketing solutions enables us to deliver integrated solutions for pharmaceutical sales, marketing and IT professionals to overcome these challenges."
