The Buckle, Inc. Reports June 2010 Net Sales
KEARNEY, Neb. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced today that comparable store net
sales, for stores open at least one year, for the five-week period ended
July 3, 2010 decreased 7.3 percent from comparable store net sales for
the five-week period ended July 4, 2009. Net sales for the five-week
fiscal month ended July 3, 2010 decreased 2.4 percent to $69.2 million
from net sales of $70.8 million for the prior year five-week fiscal
month ended July 4, 2009.
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 22-week period ended
July 3, 2010 decreased 0.7 percent from comparable store net sales for
the 22-week period ended July 4, 2009. Net sales for the 22-week fiscal
period ended July 3, 2010 increased 4.0 percent to $344.3 million from
net sales of $331.1 million for the prior year 22-week fiscal period
ended July 4, 2009.
