Continuum Worldwide Launches Critical Incident Planning Workshops
OMAHA, Neb. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Continuum
Worldwide Corporation (CWC) unveiled plans to join the
Security Executive Council (SEC) and Michigan State University (MSU) in
a series of critical incident
planning workshops.
These workshops, now backed by the power of three, were developed
by the School of Criminal Justice at MSU in the aftermath of September
11, 2001 to help organizations of any size prepare for, respond to, and
recover from the impact of critical incidents, including man-made and
natural disasters. Initially funded and endorsed by the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS), and subsequently adopted by the SEC when DHS
funding ended, these workshops have been battle-tested in more than 24
states with over 4,000 participants..
Continuum Worldwide will act as a primary conduit for these
workshops. "We are honored to have this opportunity to work closely with
the subject matter experts at MSU," said Jim Dale, Managing Consultant
and Director of Chief
Security Officer Solutions at Continuum Worldwide.
"They have been the sole architect of these successful workshops, and
they carry an impressive background in both the public and private
sectors."
"Continuum Worldwide will be instrumental in the continued success
of these workshops," said Bob Hayes, Managing Director of the Security
Executive Council. "Their active participation in the
security community and their rapidly expanding client base will
represent a unique opportunity to place these workshops in the hands of
organizations that need them most."
These workshops are designed for corporate crisis and/or incident
management teams within businesses, government agencies, nonprofit
organizations, or any other organizations that wish to collaborate for
more efficient and cost-effective joint preparedness, response, and
recovery on a city, county, or regional level. Workshops can be modified
to meet the specific needs or concerns of the customer.
