Emptoris Expands Market-Leading Services Procurement Team

As Global 2000 Corporations Increase Outsourcing, Emptoris Continues to Invest in its Market-Leading Team and Technology

Emptoris, Inc., the provider of the world's most widely-used services procurement solution, today announced the expansion of the company's services procurement team with the appointment of four new executives. The appointments are the latest investment by Emptoris in its services procurement team and technology, as the company expands to help its customers meet the challenges and opportunities associated with the growing use of outsourced contingent and professional services.

Emptoris appointed Karen Merrill, as Services Procurement Practice Executive for Europe (EMEA); Merrill previously worked as Global Account Director for Europe with Kelly-OCG, the global outsourcing and consulting solutions provider. The company also appointed Dwayne Grant, as Engagement Manager for Emptoris Services Procurement; Grant previously worked as Project Manager at Beeline, an international workforce solutions organization. Emptoris also appointed Patrick Nichols as Product Manager for Emptoris Services Procurement; Nichols joins Emptoris from Peopleclick Authoria, the talent management solution provider, where he was also Product Manager. Finally, Emptoris appointed Nina Yuan as Technical Services Manager; she joins the company from Unica Corporation.

Karen Merrill will serve as Services Procurement Practice Executive for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Emptoris, overseeing the company's services procurement solution practice in the region. Merrill previously worked as Global Account Director for Europe with Kelly-OCG, the global outsourcing and consulting solutions provider. At Kelly-OGC, she also served as Global MSP Manager in the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions handling global sourcing projects for direct and indirect labor for clients; as well as Global Recruitment Management handling temporary, IT consultant, and permanent hires across the globe for clients. Although experienced across a wide variety of industries, she is particularly experienced in the global telecommunications and oil & gas industries, having managed more than 30 projects in the Persian Gulf. Prior to Kelly-OGC, Merrill served as Manager, Global Vendor Management for Symantec, the security software company.

Dwayne Grant will serve as Engagement Manager for Emptoris Services Procurement, leading Emptoris clients through implementation and training on the Emptoris Services Procurement solution and assisting with post-implementation best practices and adoption development. Grant previously worked as Project Manager at Beeline, an international workforce solutions organization. At Beeline, he managed system implementations for, among others, JPMorgan Chase; MetLife and several major Blue Cross / Blue Shield associations. Grant holds a Master's Degree in Project Management from Keller Graduate School, a Master's Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from SUNY Old Westbury.

Patrick Nichols will serve as Product Manager for the Emptoris Services Procurement solutions, working closely with customers and internal experts to drive the investment and development in the market's leading services procurement solution. Nichols joins Emptoris from Peopleclick Authoria, the talent management solution provider, where he was also Product Manager. Prior to Peopleclick Authoria, Nichols was Implementation Business Analyst with Kelly Vendor Management Solutions and VMS Technical Team Lead and Solutions Architect at Spherion Corporation.

Nina Yuan will serve as Technical Services Manager; she joins the company from Unica Corporation where she served as Director of Worldwide Professional Services Programs. She previously served as Practice Manager for the Data Security Practice at RSA, the security division of EMC, formerly RSA Security, Inc. She also served as a Project Director for American Enterprise Consulting Group and as a Senior Consultant for Ernst & Young LLP, among other positions.
