Univision Interactive Media Delivers Big Weekend Traffic, Driven by U.S. vs. Ghana Match

NEW YORK - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Univision Interactive Media's coverage of day 17 and day 18 of the 2010 FIFA World Cup propelled UnivisionFutbol.com to break multiple records. Live streaming of the U.S./Ghana match was the #1 weekend match to date. The match propelled day 17 to the top live streaming weekend day of the tournament so far, and it drove UnivisionFutbol.com to its top weekend day since the tournament began with double digit online growth compared to previous Saturday averages. In addition, UnivisionFutbol.com achieved its #1 overall weekend of the tournament, with 8.2 million page views, almost 950,000 visits and over 380,000 average daily unique cookies. Univision Fútbol's mobile platforms also hit their top numbers since the start of the World Cup, with a 19 percent increase in visits over the previous weekend.

Last week was the #1 week for UnivisionFutbol.com since the site launched, with nearly 42 million page views and almost 4.9 million visits online. There were over 3.4 million total hours of live match streaming during the week, beating the previous week by more than 29 percent. Daily unique media players also outperformed the previous week on UnivisionFutbol.com, averaging 294,000 - a 14 percent increase. The Univision Fútbol mobile app achieved a record week with 8.6 million pages and 1.6 million visits.

All matches are being streamed live and for free on UnivisionFutbol.com in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. For the tournament to date, fans have streamed 6.7 million hours of live video on UnivisionFutbol.com. The UnivisionFutbol.com online and mobile site is engaging users daily with real-time results, news and all the latest coverage. The popular Univision Fútbol App is also providing instant game updates across all platforms and remains a top-ranked app in the Apple App Store. These Univision Fútbol online and mobile offerings have generated 128 million total page views and 23.4 million visits since the tournament began.
