Veteran Land Use Attorney Named to Head PLF's Florida Office

Founded in 1973, PLF is the nation's premier property rights watchdog organization, litigating nationwide for limited government, constitutional property rights, individual liberty, and a balanced approach to environmental regulations. PLF's Atlantic Center office opened in Florida in 1998, and has taken a leading role in defending property rights throughout the Sunshine State and along the East Coast.

"I am very pleased to join PLF and help spearhead its aggressive litigation program in Florida and up and down the East Coast," said Alan DeSerio. "PLF's mission is to defend well-established constitutional principles of limited government and property rights. I have a strong personal commitment to those principles. DeSerio's decades-long career as a Florida land use/eminent domain attorney includes work as a condemnation appellate attorney with the Florida Department of Transportation and 15 years with Brigham Moore LLP, a leading eminent domain law firm. In recent years, he has developed a practice limited to appellate work and mediation of eminent domain and land use matters.

DeSerio is widely published in legal and policy journals, and has authored or coauthored chapters in seminal books on the law of eminent domain. He is also a frequent speaker at legal forums and legal education programs, on eminent domain, planning and zoning law, and appellate practice, among other topics.
